Farcroft branch commenced business on July 2nd 1923 - this passbook shows that almost 5,000 accounts had been opened by February 1931. The Hours of Business printed (on a sticker placed in the inner cover of the passbook) applied from July 31st 1931 to September 1939. The Head Office address in Edmund Street was superceded in 1933 on the move to new premises in Broad Street, and the Bank's first General Manager was replaced on his retirement in 1946 by H Carver. The letters 'AD' were used to identify account numbers in Farcroft Branch, and a rubber stamp is used to name the branch.

The account was closed on July 5th 1935. A rubber stamp was applied to the passbook to encourage the depositor to produce it if the account was to be renewed - which is what happened a few months later. Standard procedure on opening a new account was for the branch's index of depositors' names to be checked in order to renew a previously allocated account number. Statistics were maintained to distinguish the number of accounts that were opened as either 'New' or 'Renewed'.

After a period of inactivity from 1948 to 1957, the account was transferred to Longbridge branch.

All entries in the passbook are pre-decimal, ie Pounds; Shillings; and Pence.
